Privacy Policy
1. The short version
We collect what a team needs to work: who you are, which team you are in, what your coach set you, and what you post in your team’s chat. We do not sell it, we do not advertise to you, and we do not share it with other clubs.
2. What we hold
- Your identity: name, email address, and your Joner Football App customer id. If a parent uses a player’s account, the player’s display name too. When an adult accepts for a player, we also record the adult’s supplied name, relationship to the player, the legal revision and acceptance time. This is the adult’s declaration; it is not independent identity verification.
- Your place in the club: which club and teams you belong to, and whether you are a manager, coach, player or parent.
- What you post: team chat messages, photos, videos, documents and voice notes, and who reacted to them.
- Your training: which drills your coach set, which you marked done, any proof you uploaded, and official Joner Football App progress including content and customer identifiers, watch seconds, completion percentage, last-watched time, assignment baseline, attribution status and verification events.
- Coach-entered rosters: player names and email addresses submitted by an authorised coach or manager to allocate club seats and invite or reconcile members.
- Your profile photo, if you upload one.
- Technical records: sign-in attempts, session and device/browser information available in security and hosting logs, push-notification subscription details if you enable notifications, and an audit log of administrative actions such as adding or removing a member.
We do not ask for a home address, a date of birth, a phone number, or any payment details. Payment for your club’s subscription happens outside Teams.
3. Children
Teams is used by children. A player under 13 should not hold their own account: a parent or guardian agrees to these terms and uses the player’s account with them, on one of the two devices that account allows.
Parents and guardians can ask us at any time to show, correct or delete what is held about their child. Write to teamsupport@jonerfootball.com from the email on the account.
We only collect a child’s training and team information to provide Teams, support the club’s coaching programme, keep the service safe, and meet legal obligations. We do not use children’s information for targeted advertising or sell it.
4. Who can see what
- Your team sees your name, your profile photo, what you post in team chat and your position on the team leaderboard.
- Your coach additionally sees your training completion, anything you upload as proof, official watch-derived progress and whether a content/account match needs identity review.
- Your club manager sees the teams and rosters in your club, seat use, member progress and the coach/manager information needed to run them.
- Joner Football staff can see club and team setup, roster requests sent to the staff support inbox, official tracking records and identity-review information. Staff can open a read-only view of a member’s screen to investigate a support problem. Every one of those sessions is logged against the staff member who opened it.
- Other clubs see nothing. Clubs are isolated from each other.
5. Who we send data to
We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process data for us under our instructions and applicable contracts:
- Uscreen: your Joner Football App account, your club’s seats, and what you have watched.
- Supabase: the database and file storage behind Teams.
- Vercel: hosting. Our servers run in Sydney, Australia.
- Resend or our configured dedicated SMTP email provider: sends secure sign-in links, service notifications and roster-request messages to authorised Joner Football staff.
- Web push delivery services: deliver notifications to a device when you choose to enable them.
The Teams application server is configured for Vercel’s Sydney region. Supabase, Uscreen, Resend, SMTP and web-push providers may process or store information in the United States and other regions where they operate. We use provider contracts and access controls intended to protect it consistently with Australian Privacy Principle 8. We do not sell data to anyone, and we do not use it to train advertising profiles.
6. Cookies and similar storage
Teams uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, hold your Joner Football App session so video opens without a second login, remember a join invitation while sign-in completes, and protect authorised staff support sessions. Authentication cookies are signed, marked HttpOnly and Secure, and expire. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no advertising-cookie banner to click through.
7. How long we keep it
Chat, roster, legal-acceptance and training history stay while needed to run the club, evidence safeguarding and legal decisions, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Leaving a team or club does not trigger an automatic deletion date that the product cannot honestly guarantee. We review active records when a club leaves and delete or de-identify information that is no longer needed. Encrypted backups, security logs and audit records remain only until their configured rotation period ends or a legal hold is released. When you are removed from a team, messages may stay in that team’s history, attributed to you. A push subscription is removed when you disable it or the endpoint expires.
8. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email teamsupport@jonerfootball.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days.
We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit a request where the law permits, including where deletion would harm another person’s rights, safeguarding records, security evidence or a legal obligation. We will explain any refusal.
If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, email us with “Privacy complaint” in the subject. We will acknowledge it, investigate it and aim to give you an outcome within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
9. Security
Sign-in is by one-time link, not a password you can reuse elsewhere. Sessions are signed and expire. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Staff access to club data is limited and logged. If a breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
10. Official viewing progress
Where a coach assigns supported Joner Football App content, Teams can compare the assignment with Uscreen viewing records. Official completion normally requires at least 90% watched after the assignment baseline. Teams keeps the rule version and verification events so a later correction is auditable. A match can be held for identity review instead of being credited automatically, and coaches, club managers and authorised Joner Football staff can see the resulting status. Self-reported completion and official watch-derived completion are shown as different evidence.
11. Contact, media takedown and corrections
Joner Football Pty Ltd is responsible for personal information handled through Teams. Privacy questions, access or correction requests, deletion requests and complaints: teamsupport@jonerfootball.com.
To report a photo, video or proof upload that should not be in Teams, email us and your club’s safeguarding lead. We can restrict access while it is reviewed and remove it from active systems where appropriate. A user’s acceptance of this policy is not permission for that user to upload images of somebody else’s child.
