Terms of Use
1. Who these terms are between
Joner Football Teams (“Teams”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Joner Football Pty Ltd. These terms apply to every person who uses Teams: club administrators, club managers, coaches, players and the parents or guardians who use a player’s account.
By ticking the agreement box, you accept these terms and the paired Privacy Policy revision shown with the same combined version. If you are agreeing on behalf of a player under 18, you confirm you are that player’s parent or legal guardian and provide your name and relationship for the acceptance record. That record captures your declaration; it is not independent identity verification.
If you accept for a club, you confirm that you have authority to bind that club to the responsibilities in these terms.
2. What Teams is
Teams is a private space for a football club. It provides team chat, weekly training set by your coach, progress tracking, a session planner for coaches, and single sign-on into the Joner Football App.
Access to Teams comes through your club. Your club buys seats, and your club decides which teams you belong to. If your club’s subscription ends, access to Teams ends with it.
3. Your account
You sign in with the email attached to your Joner Football App account. There is no separate Teams password: we email you a secure sign-in link.
One player, one account. A player has a single account, which may be signed in on up to two devices, so a parent can use it alongside the player. Do not create a second account for the same player: it costs your club a seat and splits the player’s progress in two.
Keep your sign-in link private. Anyone with it can read your team’s chat. Tell your coach or teamsupport@jonerfootball.com immediately if you think someone else has access to your account.
4. What the club is responsible for
Joner Football provides the tool and the controls. The club runs its own duty of care. Software cannot verify a person’s real age or identity from a sign-up form, and we do not pretend otherwise.
By putting a team into Teams, the club warrants that:
- Every account on its teams is a real person of the age stated, and that any player under 13 is represented by a parent or guardian on that player’s account.
- Any adult it grants a coach account holds the clearances required to work with children in their jurisdiction, including DBS in the United Kingdom, Working With Children in Australia, SafeSport or the state equivalent in the United States.
Joner Football does not perform background checks. A commercial conversation with a coach is not a safeguarding check and must not be treated as one.
5. What team chat is for
These chats are development spaces, not team banter. They are for setting homework, asking for football advice, sending drills, and coaching feedback.
- No off-topic chatter, and no images unrelated to training.
- Nothing abusive, discriminatory, threatening, sexual or bullying. Zero tolerance, and removal on a first serious breach.
- Only share a photo or video if you have permission from everyone identifiable in it.
- No advertising, spam, or attempts to move members off the platform.
Parents are welcome in the chat and encouraged to stay in it. Coaches and Joner Football can see everything and will remove anyone using it wrongly.
6. Safeguarding
There are no private one-to-one chats in Teams. Members cannot create group chats at all: only the whole-team chat and club announcements exist, and both are readable by the coach and by Joner Football. Nobody sees a team’s chat until a coach or club manager has added them to that team. Under-13s join through a parent-held account, never their own.
Every message can be reported. Joner Football can remove any message or member and keeps an audit trail of who removed what and when, available to the club and to authorities on request.
Report anything that concerns you to your club’s safeguarding lead and to us at teamsupport@jonerfootball.com. If a child is at immediate risk, contact your local police or child protection service first.
7. What belongs to whom
The Joner Football coaching content, session plans we publish, videos, branding and the software itself belong to Joner Football. You may use them to coach and train within your club. You may not copy, resell, republish or share them outside your club, and you may not record or redistribute video from the Joner Football App.
What you upload stays yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, display, moderate and back up that material only as needed to operate, secure and improve Teams, meet legal obligations, and handle a report. This licence ends when the material is deleted from active systems, subject to backups, audit records and legal retention.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for anything you upload, including consent from every identifiable person and, for a child, their parent or guardian. Accepting these terms does not itself grant permission to upload another person’s image. Anyone can request review or takedown through teamsupport@jonerfootball.com and the club safeguarding lead.
8. Third-party services and club subscriptions
Teams connects to services including the Joner Football App, Uscreen, email delivery and hosting providers. Their own terms may also apply when you use them. We are not responsible for an external service outside our control, but we remain responsible for how our providers process personal information for Teams as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your club’s seats, price, billing period, cancellation and any refund are governed by the club’s order or subscription agreement and the Australian Consumer Law. These member terms do not change those commercial terms.
9. Availability
We work to keep Teams available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change as the product develops. We will give clubs reasonable notice before removing something they rely on.
10. Ending access
You can stop using Teams at any time. Your club manager or coach can remove you from a team, and your club administrator can remove you from the club. Removal from Teams does not by itself cancel a Joner Football App subscription.
We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, where a club’s subscription ends, or where we must do so to protect a child.
11. Liability
Teams is a communication and training tool. It is not coaching supervision, medical advice, or a substitute for your club’s own duty of care. Training carries risk of injury: players train at their own risk and should stop if something hurts.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
12. Changes to these terms
The Terms and Privacy Policy use one immutable combined legal revision. When either document changes materially we publish a new combined version and ask you to agree again the next time you sign in. The version, date, acceptance context and whether the person said they accepted for themselves or as a parent/legal guardian are recorded against the account.
13. General and governing law
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement for member use of Teams, alongside any separate club order or subscription agreement. If one part is unenforceable, the rest continues. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. You may not transfer your account or rights under these terms; we may transfer the service as part of a genuine business restructure or sale, with notice where required.
The laws of New South Wales, Australia govern these terms, and its courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer and privacy rights in your location still apply.
